I really did not say they fixed the problem. It was not an issue prior to the update of IOS 17 based on the last time the sync was performed at the latest version of IOS 16. This failure was noticed after the install of IOS 17.1.1 I loaded iTunes on the win 10 computer see details above and tried the sync on there and got exactly the same result. ITunes does show an updated backup date of the IPhone but does not sync any new albums or songs that were added to the iTunes library. When the sync button is clicked the ask for phone password is triggered as normal then it will do (2)Backing up Iphone then does(3) prepairing to sync at this point it goes for long minutes and then it may flash a very fast "waiting for IPhone response" or something similar to that and then just does nothing, or just goes to nothing no transferring the music files as it would normally do. The IPhone when connected to the computer and iTunes is open shows the phone in devices. Just to not confuse here It was able to perform normally with IOS 16. Not sure when I was last able to sync the iphone to the computer ie.(IOS 16 or IOS 17) but some where at 17 or 17.1 or 17.1.1. and then tested on a Windows 10 (kept updated), iTunes Version 12.10.11.2,Same as above IPhone 14 pro max IOS 17.1.1. Using windows 11 (kept updated), iTunes Version 12.13.0.9, IPhone 14 pro max IOS 17.1.1. I posted on this prior but have not seen any response I now have more information to offer on the issue maybe some one or apple will figure it out.
